Secretary – Mrs. Kay Moss
Kay has been serving at Mount Olive Baptist Church since 2004. As Secretary, she compiles the monthly newsletter, edits the weekly bulletin, updates the prayer list and helps with virtually every other administrative task. Kay loves lightening the burdens of others. Before serving at Mount Olive, Kay served the community in the Department of Social Services. Away from her desk, she enjoys helping with the Music Ministry at Mount Olive, being with family and friends, and bowling. Kay brings joy to others through pleasant surprises. Music Director – Mrs. Jennie McLendon
Jeannie McLendon is originally from Rockingham, North Carolina, but lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 44 years. She moved back to her hometown after retiring from a career in Human Resources at a Charlotte distribution center and leading and directing music. In Charlotte, she was a part time music director for 20 leading choir and worship for three different churches. Jeannie has been married to her best friend, Richard, for soon-to-be 49 years. While formal music training is limited to piano and voice, she has been singing and playing piano since childhood. She is glad to be back home and honored to be serving God in the music ministry at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rockingham. This is her way of giving back to God for the wonderful things He has done for her and using the talent He has so graciously given to her.
Mount Olive Christian Child Care Director – Mrs. Vikki King
Mrs. King has a degree in Early Childhood and over 25 years in experience. Vikki comes from Second Baptist Day School where she taught for 13 years that included kindergarten, first grade and served as our summer camp coordinator. One of Vikki’s focuses is be exposing children to a diverse learning environment: from basic exercises, giving to the community, multicultural learning and traditional holidays. She hopes to provide kids at Mount Olive Christian Child Care with wonderful, memorable experiences.
